A logistics and supply chain specialist with 24 years of experience in fields of ocean shipping, freight forwarding, air cargo, project logistics, Relocations service, express freight and e-commerce supply chain solutions.
He Joined the Hayley’s Advantis Group in 1996 as a trainee Executive and managed during his stint in Maldives from 2006 to 2013.
Appointed a Director to a subsidiary company in 2012, he was later transferred to lead Mountain Hawk Express Pvt Ltd., and Mountain Hawk Pvt Ltd., as Director / CEO in June 2013. He is currently serving as a member of the Committee of Management of Hayley’s Advantis Group since January 2015. Sanjeeva also serves on the board of Sri Lanka Association of Express Companies as Executive Vice President since June 2016.
He Holds an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia and a post graduate Diploma in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), member of the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics UK. He is currently reading for Certified Management Accountants, Australia.

Sanjeeva Abeygoonewardena is a logistics and supply chain specialist with over 20 years of experience in fields of ocean shipping, freight forwarding, air cargo, project logistics, Express freight and e-commerce supply chain solutions. He is the current President of Sri Lanka Association of Express Companies as the Executive President since June 2017.
An old boy of St. Peters College, Colombo 04, he holds an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia and a post graduate Diploma in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). He also is a Chartered Member of Institute of Logistics and Transport, UK and currently reading for Certified Management Accountants, Australia.
A Director at Mountain Hawk and Mountain Hawk Express Pvt Ltd, which is a subsidiary company in within the Hayleys Group. He is currently serving as a member of the Committee of Management of Hayley’s Advantis Group since January 2015, overseeing strategic business initiatives undertaken by the groups logistics cluster.
A Board member (Treasurer) - AMCHAM (American Chamber) Sri Lanka since September 2017 to date and serves on the Export Development Board – advisory council member on logistics and transportation to EDB since January 2018 to date. Sanjeeva is the current president of the Sri Lanka Association of Air Express Companies from June 2017 to date and was recently appointed to the Advisory Panel – South Asia Maritime & Logistics Forum 2018 to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Sanjeeva is an IRB (World Rugby) Level I coach and a strong proponent on sustainability, transforming business excellence and organization behavior through the science of sport.
