Abhijit has spent close to 30 years of experience in IT; in services & as well as an end-user. He has worked extensively in the field of Travel & Transportation with a focus on Aviation, Ports & Logistics and Hospitality.

Abhijit presently works as an Advisor to the CEO of Portall Infosystems Pvt. Ltd; an agency that has the mandate to implement the National Logistics Portal in India. He was personally involved in the roll out of the National Port Community System as well. He works as an Advisor to multiple Government Departments. Prior to this, Abhijit ran a start-up, an online services firm, with a special focus on improving the reach and quality of the school education system.

With his broad and global exposure, Abhijit understands that clarity in vision and cultural alignment are key success factors to achieving IT objectives. Abhijit is adept at creating “best-fit” solutions for his Clients; in line with their vision, objectives and philosophy.

Abhijit holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Poona, Pune, India. He is fluent in English, Hindi & Marathi, and has conversational skills in French. He was a member of the IT TaskForce on Ports Modernization constituted by the Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport, Highways & Shipping. He is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics & Transport (CMILT) and a Fellow/ Chartered Engineer of the Indian Institution of Engineers, India.
