Prof. V. Jesudevan (President, Centre for Trade Excellence | Founder & CEO, Tradekins | Adjunct Professor, National University of Singapore)

Prof. V. Jesudevan (Jesu) is the President of the Centre for Trade Excellence, a Singapore- based non-profit organization dedicated to promoting best practices and compliance standards in export controls and global trade. As Founder and CEO of Tradekins, he also leads initiatives that help businesses navigate complex regulatory environments.

With over two decades of experience in legal practice, judicial roles, and regulatory enforcement, Jesudevan is an internationally recognized thought leader in compliance, export controls, and strategic trade. His career began in one of Asia’s largest law firms, before being invited to serve as a District Judge by the Singapore Judiciary. He later joined the Singapore Attorney-General’s Chambers, and as a Deputy Senior State Counsel he led and oversaw high- profile criminal prosecutions and advised the government on a wide array of legal and regulatory matters.

Prof. Jesudevan continues to contribute to international capacity building efforts as a consultant to the United Nations Office of Disarmament Affairs and a recognized expert for the European Union and the U.S. Department of State's Export Control and Related Border Security Program.

A Fulbright Scholar and a holder of a Master of Laws from New York University, Jesudevan was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2005. Alongside his professional roles, he is an Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore, and a lecturer at the Singapore Management University where he teaches Compliance & Risk Management helping to equip future leaders with the tools to navigate complex regulatory environments.
