With a career spanning over 18 years in the air freight industry, Miran has gained a wide experience from both the Carrier Operations and Freight Forwarding perspectives. From 2006 to 2013, he held roles covering Sales and Marketing, Customer Service and Cargo Operations for Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia while based in Colombo and Dubai. He also worked at Cathay Cargo during 2016-17 in the capacity of overseeing Cargo Sales for Sri Lanka and Maldives. During his Freight Forwarding tenure at EFL, he has held a number of positions and currently is the Senior General Manager of Global Air Freight. In this role, Miran leads the Air Procurement for the EFL global network and oversees the development of the Airline Portfolio at a Global and Regional level. His key responsibilities also include facilitating customized solutions focused on enhancing air freight capacity and cost-efficiency for top line and new customers in collaboration with the EFL Offices worldwide.

Miran’s academic qualifications include a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Leicester and a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Marketing from The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM, UK).
