Mr. Munish Kanwar, the Chief Executive Officer of Colombo West International Terminal (CWIT) in Colombo, Sri Lanka, brings over 25 years of expertise and a distinguished track record in leading teams across India and internationally. Known for his cross-functional acumen, Mr. Kanwar excels in leadership, project management, operations, maintenance, business development, and strategic regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining CWIT, Mr. Kanwar served as the Business Head and Director for an international venture where he successfully led the project to its completion, commissioning a terminal and launching full-scale operations. His career with Adani began in 2012, where he progressed through key roles in operations across major ports such as Mundra, Hazira, Vizag, and Krishnapatnam, eventually spearheading the construction and commissioning of an overseas terminal. Mr. Kanwar’s professional journey commenced with the K.K. Birla Group, before his pivotal contributions to Adani.

He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and has continued to refine his leadership skills through programs at esteemed institutions, including the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow and Harvard University.
