Chief Representative of China Merchants Group’s Sri Lanka Projects/Chief Executive Officer of Hambantota International Port Group

Mr. Wilson Qu is a seasoned port, maritime, and logistics executive with more than 30 years of professional and management experience in the port, shipping, and logistics industries. A graduate of Dalian Maritime University, he has held various management positions at Dalian Port Group and China Merchants Port Holdings Company Limited (CMPort). Throughout his career, he has accumulated extensive experience in port and terminal operations, shipping and logistics management, supply chain and logistics development, business and corporate management, commercial development, strategic planning, and international port projects, with a strong understanding of integrated port-shipping-logistics networks and the development of large-scale port businesses.

He currently serves as the Chief Representative of China Merchants Group’s Sri Lanka Projects and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hambantota International Port Group (HIPG). In these roles, he is responsible for the overall coordination and development of China Merchants Group’s projects in Sri Lanka, as well as the management, operation, and strategic development of Hambantota International Port.
